On arrival

2004 Helene Grande Cuvée (Tasmania)

Donated by
Warren Adderley

Helene Grande Cuvée
A clear, pale gold colour, with a persistent fine bead. The nose is full of complex toasty, brioche like aromas, white truffle, nougat and fresh cream are all here in abundance. The palate is similarly layered with white peach, nectarine, citrus and a long biscuity mid-palate that is full of structure and poise yet still retains an incredible freshness from the natural acidity.

Entrée

Pasta
Tomato based gnocchi with beef ragout,
Fettucini with cream mushroom spinach and parmesan, olive oil with broccoli in breadcrumbs.
Each pasta served on its own share plate.

2012 Pepper Tree Chardonnay

$16.00

2013 Umani Ronchi Villa Bianca Verdicchio

$21.85

Pepper Tree Chardonnay
Another multi regional wine from Peppertree, the Chardonnay is a blend of Hunter Valley 50%, Wrattonbully 35% and Orange 15%. The three regions make up a wine that shows lifted aromas of white peach and pineapple, a generously fruit driven palate packed with ripe fruits balanced well by subtle barrel ferment complexity, providing a long refined finish.
Villa Bianca Verdicchio
Umani Ronchi Villa Biachi is a crisp and vibrant dry white that utilises the exciting aromatic of the Verdicchio grape variety. The bouquet to this unique light white has citrus and floral notes and a palate that is similarly clean, with some subtle nutty notes and a tingle of acid.

Main

Rib eye, jus served to the side, vegetables and salad.

2008 Simon Lang Shiraz (Barossa)

$20.00

* 1998 Orlando St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon (Coonawarra)

$25.64

Simon Lang Shiraz
The Gomersal area of Tanunda provided the majority of fruit for this wine, with a smaller portion coming from the cooler regions of the Angaston Valley. The resulting wine was matured in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 12 months. Plum and blackberry tastes with vanilla notes, a dark chocolate finish and velvety textured tannins.

St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon
Without doubt one of the best Hugo's ever. Still amazingly youthful this will go on for years to come. Full bodied wine with dense, ripe, concentrated fruit characters supported by spicy French oak and supple tannins, with long lasting flavour.

Dessert

Semifreddo ice cream - white chocolate and berry.

Muscat 2013 Foundation Members
Blended from our aged Muscat stock - some over 25 y.o. - that has been maturing in oak barrels over 100 y.o. It shows great maturity and complexity with aromatic fruit and rancio characters leading to a flavoursome wine with great length.
