Yellowglen Perle Vintage 2009 – Pinot Noir Chardonnay /Pinot Meunier

$15.00

Yellowglen Perle Vintage 2009
Sporting a serious new label, this is a blend of pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier. Aromas of red apple, lemon, brioche and a touch of honey have nice complexity. Intense lemon, Granny Smith apple and biscuit flavours have a driving line of refreshing acid and a finish that’s reminiscent of mineral water with a squeeze of lemon

Entrée

spanner crab ravioli
fried leek, champagne sauce

2013 Saltram 1859 Chardonnay

$16.00

* 2006 Tahbilk Viognier

$9.50

Saltram 1859 Chardonnay
Matured in seasoned and new French, with 20% being in seasoned French oak vats. The wine is pale straw in colour with a green hue. Created in a contemporary style this Chardonnay has notes of stone and citrus fruit. The palate is soft and even showing some vibrant fruit characters while having a refreshing crisp finish.
Tahbilk Viognier
Alister Purbrick, the team at this Nagambie Lakes winery, and the sub-region appear to have an affinity with Rhone varietals. This has attractive, lifted apricot flavours that are persistent and deep; there's succulence and weighty viscosity on a multi-layered white

Main

slow braised beef cheek
seeded mustard sauce, creamy mash, green beans

* 1998 Orlando St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon

$25.64

* 2000 Stanton Killeen Jack Blocks Shiraz

$23.85

Orlando St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon
Without doubt one of the best Hugo's ever. Still amazingly youthful this will go on for years to come. Full bodied wine with dense, ripe, concentrated fruit characters supported by spicy French oak and supple tannins, with long lasting flavour.

Stanton Killeen Jack Blocks Shiraz
A real sleeper of a now-eastern shiraz, very closed but very concentrated. Underneath its dusty, earthy and meaty bouquet lie briary, vibrant berry fruit flavours of brightness and intensity. The palate is firm and fine, steeped in dark berry flavours, wrapped in tight tannins and will gradually open up.

Dessert

warm sticky date pudding
toffee sauce, fresh cream

* 1995 Peter Lehman The King Port

$21.00

* Red Hill Estate (Campbells Rutherglen) Liqueur Muscat

$10.50

Peter Lehman The King Port
An exceptional Vintage Port made from Shiraz and Touriga Nacional. Opaque black crimson colour with very deep red hue. The nose is superb – an ecstatic sniff filled with the aroma of Christmas pudding, raisins, blackberry jam and very fine old brandy spirit. The palate is explosive – with superbly powerful flavours of liquorice, blackberry jam and velvet smooth brandy followed by a remarkably dry finish. A wonderful Portuguese inspired Vintage Port.
Red Hill Estate (Campbells Rutherglen) Liqueur Muscat
Blended and bottled at Red Hill Estate, this Muscat has been made by blending aged material from a number of vintages. Sourced from North Eastern Victoria, this is a fine example of the fruits of the region. It is a beautifully integrated blend in the traditional Muscat style offering a luscious, warm coffee/caramel palate and a rich satisfying finish.
