Vial Weissburgunder - Pinot Bianco
Pinot Blanc (Pinot Bianco in Italy, Weissburgunder in Germany) is a white grape used in the production of still and sparkling wines around the world. The variety is a mutation of Pinot Gris which is a mutation of Pinot Noir – in other words it is part an ancient, genetically unstable, family of Pinot grapes.

Mains

Twice roasted duck, caramelised figs, vincotto compote and barbaresco infused duck sauce
Pink roasted Riverina eye fillet, aged 28 days, wild mushroom ragu and truffled shallots
Pappardelle with slow braised veal, tomato sugo and gremolata

Bissoni Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

$70.00

Bissoni Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore
Sangiovese (or Nielluccio in Corsica), a dark-berried vine, is the most widely planted grape variety in Italy. Virtually synonymous with the red wines of Tuscany, and all the romanticism that goes with the territory, Sangiovese is the core constituent in some of the great names in Italian wine. Italy’s love affair with Sangiovese – and indeed the world’s – is generations old, though recent grapevine research suggests the variety is not as ancient as once thought. Sangiovese is made without oak, brimming with fresh red cherry and floral fruit and a juicy mouthfeel.
