Pirie Sparkling NV

Pirie Non Vintage Northern Tasmania is widely recognised for the quality of sparkling wine produced in the true cool climate of 41-42°S. The first Pirie Sparkling (1995 Vintage) did much to establish this reputation. Today the story continues with Pirie Non Vintage, a full flavoured Cuvée from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, boasting complexity from base wines produced in the unique sparkling terroirs of the region.

White wine 1

2022 Pacha Mama Pinot Gris North East Victoria

$27.00

Pacha Mama Pinot Gris

Sourced from a single vineyard site in the Strathbogie Ranges, ideally suited to growing aromatic and balanced Pinot Gris. The cool nights here allow the fruit to reach optimum ripeness whilst retaining an elegant balance between flavour, alcohol and acidity. This wine by Pacha Mama underwent lees stirring while in barrel, resulting in a buttery richness and complexity that sets the pinot gris style apart from the tighter, more acidic Pinot Grigio. Rich and inviting nose with white musk, fresh quince and honeysuckle. A generous and textural palate, with flavours of crème brulée, lemon zest and musk, balanced by refreshing acidity and a satisfying, clean finish.

White wine 2

2022 Yalumba Viognier Eden Valley

$27.00

Yalumba Viognier

Pure aromas reminiscent of fresh apricots, lifted ginger and fresh white flowers. The palate is long and silky, with stone fruit flavours, a hint of exotic saffron and finishing with an alluring freshness.

Red wine 1

* 2008 Brian Barry Jud's Hill Shiraz Clare Valley

$10.58

Brian Barry Jud's Hill Shiraz

Red to purple in the glass, the nose is youthful with dark cherry and plum, the front palate shows ripe blackberry and dark cherry, with the mid to back palate shifting to a more savoury mode, with earth and mocha, it then finishes with rich ripe primary fruit, firm tannins and considerable length.

Red wine 2

* 2012 Trentham Estate Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Coonawarra

$12.75

Trentham Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2012 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is part of our carefully selected Family Reserve range that aims to epitomise the best these regions have to offer.
This wine shows vibrant red-purple colour with lifted violet and mint aromas. The taste has great length with balanced cassis fruit and dark chocolate.
Cabernet Sauvignon vines are perfectly suited to the Coonawarra region, where a magical combination of the terra rossa soil and cool maritime climate produce very high quality grapes. The ripening period is cool and the grapes ripen slowly, retaining flavour and natural acid. The resulting wine is testament to the fruit quality, world class Cabernet Sauvignon with finesse and great ageing potential.

2021 d'Arenberg The Noble Mud Pie

Amazing light gold colour. Clean and shiny. A very fragrant bouquet promises a rich and flavoursome dessert wine. Hints of baked pear and peach with fresh tangelo. You’ll find these same characteristics on the palate, with melted peach and pear, and a luscious honeysuckle coating. Lemon balm and mandarin gives this wine a beautiful balanced freshness.

Dessert wine 2

2017 d'Arenberg The Noble Mud Pie Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Pinot Gris Adelaide Hills / McLaren Vale

2017 d'Arenberg The Noble Mud Pie

This wine is generous and rich yet has great freshness and acidity from the cooler 2017 vintage. Honey suckle, frangipani and lemon balm leap from the glass with concentrated citrus and pineapple strewn across the palate. The finish is long and intense with soft phenolics and fantastic length of flavour.
